About Me

I am a natural light, vintage-inspired photographer serving Eastern and Central Nebraska. I photograph babies, children, seniors, couples, and families. Sorry, no weddings. Each session offers a unique experience shot on location and rich in character. Here you will find my recent work, as well as all news and updates regarding my schedule. And attention you lurkers out there! yeah.... you know who you are....make yourself known once in a while! Hearing from you makes my day ;)

due any day

I bet Amanda is getting miserable about now. Due any day..... and I can't wait to meet their new little GIRL! Dane would maybe disagree. I feel that he knows that change is on the horizon. I am in love with his sweet face.

i'm a sucker

I am a push-over for so many things: eclectic desert plates, an awesome pen that makes my writing look so nice, and of course, puppies.... but I'm in love with any type of hand-made, tricked-out card. My Aunt Nancy [same Aunt who gifted me the poloroid] made these fabulous cards with her own two hands. So creative. I have to admit I get a little selfish and picky on who I give them to, though. I want to keep them. That's why I was so excited to get one in the mail today from my mom. : )

everything is better with bacon

Hagan, or endearingly called 'Bacon' was such a fun little guy. I learned he loves an audience and he loves a good game of peek-a-boo. It's the only way we got him to let it all hang out and streak in the tall grass.

mr. rigs tyler

Baby Rigs was a month old when we did his 'newborn' session. Wide-eyed and bushy tailed...not a sheep in sight for this kid. Warm room temperatures, a 40-minute car ride, full tummy. Still nothing. Oh well. Isn't he handsome under all that thick, beautiful head of hair!?

new addition

For those of you who do not know me personlly, I collect antique cameras. I have them scattered all over the house. On books, on shelves...as paperweights. But I am the proud new owner of a 1950's MINT condition Poloroid Land Speedliner. Isn't she a beauty?! She's huge, smells of old leather and I just can't decide just where to place. Has to be somewhere that I walk by a hundred times.
a gift from my Aunt Nancy in an old cardboard box. oh, happy day.

good Sunday

What a good Sunday. My baby cousin, Sara, graduated from Heartland. She looked so beautiful sitting here on the cold, rainy porch. I said "sit there and look serene." She says, "What's that mean?!" Oh, Sara. you're so pretty. : ) It was an afternoon spent cuddling baby Rigs [next on que!], eating the best brisket I think EVER, and playing Dummy Rummy with the guys. Hope you all had a great weekend, as well!

3 men and a little lady

also known as... McKail, Sam, Reiss, and Lauren. Handsome as they are well-behaved. And poor McKail--- sprained his ankle just before it was go-time. We cleverly hid his wrapped leg. See---I shouldn't have told you that. Now you will be looking for it. haha
