My husband and his bff, Chris, both turn 30 this week and to celebrate, Tara and I had a joint birthday party bash Saturday night in Omaha. BBQ, Bazookies, and as much to drink as anyone could handle. I think the last one of us dropped at 3:30am. Needless to say, they exited their 20's with a bang. Here are some fav pics from the night. So the guys who wore the plaid shorts got to be the "butt-end" of every joke of the evening. I rounded them up for a group photo, and I guess they think that plaid is somethin pretty special. So GQ. And you thought only golfers wore plaid....

This is Brooke, one of my little second cousins and model. And she will be the first to tell you that! And that her name is Brooke Maur-EEN, NOT "Marie." She also will tell you that her name is "Snow White" and that she is a princess. I won't argue with her... Her 3-year pic graces my business card currently, and people always are asking me if she is my daughter (or once in a while "Is that YOU as a child?"). Wouldn't I be lucky if my child was as pretty and angelic as Brooke? I can only hope and pray. Here are some fav's of my gorgeous little blood relative. ; )

ryan turns 30

My hubby turns the big 3-0 on Memorial Day this year....headed to Omaha for a joint party with Chris and Tara! Wahoo! Chris turns 30, too. It's gonna be great. I have 2 sessions lined up for the Old Market, one of my best friend's from BHS gets married on Sunday...and time with our Omaha peeps. Can't wait! Have a peaceful Memorial Day, everyone. Back to the grindstone Tuesday. (p.s. this pic is from Halloween last year. I was his ref....but more the ref for his crazy, wild fro-ball.)

anna

Recogize this girl? She was the one eating the strawberry up top for a while (in my previous blog logo header thingy). She is Anna...one of our little neighbor girls. She is one of the elite models from the 'McBride Modeling Agency, Inc.' It's an inside joke we have with Mark and Jen. If I want to take pictures, I walk over and tell Jen I want Anna, Max or Ava after work for about 30 minutes. I'm lucky to have them just a yard away. And the strawberry pic? Yeah...I had these gorgeous strawberries I got from Wal-Mart and they were just too perfect NOT to photograph. "Hi, Anna! You like strawberries, don't ya?" She got to eat 3 before I was satified with my shots.

Well...it finally happened. I got busted for the first time. My dream location is no longer mine. Oh well! At least I got some good final pics to remember my "perfect light-corregated metal rear junk pile" by. (tear). Austen was my perfect little poser...he was a great listener.

What a great evening to take pics. Zero wind, no bugs. This was my first time meeting this little family....what a blessing! These two have so much love for their children. It was a pleasure to watch them together. With a 2 yr old and a 6 month old, they have so much patience. And they never pass up a chance to teach something, either. Always talking about shapes and colors. You're raising a little Harvard grad, guys! Enjoy your sneak peak....

been waiting and waiting patiently to use my rockstar chair...it had no seat when I got it, but when I found out the girls were gonna wear yellow, I quick whipped one up. Worked out just lovely for Miss Adaleine. Don't ya think?
