i'm baaaaack! : )

i'm back! we got moved in and only a couple things were accidentally broken...and the best part? internet was hooked up this am! but see next post. haha

hiatus

so... moving is terribly stressful...isn't it?! here it is... my first 'official' day at my dream job [to you newbies, i've been juggling BIG time the last few years and i finally am able to do photography FULL time] and it's all stress, stress, stress. i shouldn't say my job is stressful, just what's happening around me. we move on friday and i'm scrambling to pack, throw in a few sessions, MAJOR strides to edit before my computer goes in a box... all the while trying to cure one of the dog's ear infection. gross. needless to say, blogger, we need a break. but fear not folks, it's not 'goodbye....'  just 'see you soon." i'm working on a NEW blog [lots of work, but i gotta cut the cord on this guy] and a NEW house in a new place. can't hardly wait. : )

aiden [6 months]

sweet aiden. so lucky to have the best friends anyone could ask for. and soon.... 2 hours closer : )

troopers in the true sense of the word! i dragged them out of bed at sunrise. temp=28 degrees. but the way aiden lights up their world totally warmed my heart. see their sample gallery on my website.

the K family

so imagine a couple of sweet sisters. [kaylee is the big sister, and charlee is the baby sister] reading a lovely book about a hippopotamus under a tree, temperature about 35 degrees on a Saturday morning. you're thinking, now, after looking at the images, "how in the world is that little girl ASLEEP on such a cold morning?!" well... the answer is that kaylee is the baby whisperer. not just a myth, folks! she shall be my new assistant with newborns when she's old enough. haha

lincoln sessions UPDATE [bookings=closed]

WHAT A FABULOUS WEEKEND! the weather was absolutely dreary and cold....so needless to say a few things needed rescheduling... and i hopped in the car and got to spend the weekend with Ry in Lincoln. we went applicance shopping and had so much fun! seeing what's new in the culinary world... and what i haven't told you yet is that we bought a house last week in wahoo! it's cute, quaint, and ....um...we nicknamed it 'pink panther.' for obvious reasons...even the stove is bubble-gum pink. and yes.... it will be leaving and not coming back. pink is just about my least favorite color ever.

so things are coming together finally! it's getting real... and scary. GULP.

twenty nine

i had a birthday yesterday and it was different. ryan wasn't here to be the first to wish me 'happy birthday' [and he is ALWAYS the first to do that]. it made me sad, but i was soon happy because of all my facebook people, co-workers, and girlfriends made me feel oh-so birthday girl special. oh...and we bought a house! i got a cute little pink house for my birthday from wahoo.  so thanks, everybody! turning 29 was pretty damn awesome. we celebrated with sushi last weekend at kona grill... mmmmmm. sushi.

no sushi for the men. they need beef. pounds and pounds of beef.

laying out my lovely birthday gifts to share and the dogs came along to "help." before i knew it...all my cards were knocked over, tyson was trying to eat my flowers, and needless to say it was a disaster. but here is what i did capture....

darling hannah {six months}

thank goodness it got above freezing....record highs for february, actually. we had her session at the playground... muddy and wet from all the snow melting, but eh. jeans wash! and i wonder why all the knees in my jeans are stained brown. haha
