save the date! Melissa and Alex are getting MARRIED!

Guess what.....? MORE cousins : ) Man! They are coming out of the woodwork! Hahah Melissa is ...lets count.... 5th oldest cousin? (I'm No. 2 : ) As mellow as they come and Eric's baby sister (in my KC post). And Alex has been showing up to family functions at Grandmas for a couple years now. He finally did the deed and proposed and they picked a date and everything. June. What a great month to get married in. : ) Could you two really get any cuter?

thanksgiving in summer

I have had a rough couple of weeks (excluding my much-needed vaca!). It makes me really feel the need to express all I am thankful for in my life. For my awesome husband who keeps me grounded.... for my encouraging, faithful clients; the respect from my family. It is very comforting to know, too, that I have a gift to capture the beauty around me.... it really is true that a picture is worth a thousand words..... and my therapy--- to photograph things. I wouldn't give up my eyesight for all the money in the world. Random. Sorry. but enjoy these recent beautiful people.

KC (hotter than the face of the sun)

Wowee..... what a fun side-trip. Originally went to do a commercial shoot. Well----did that and sooo much more. :) I just love KC more than words. Funky, artistic, big-city.... historic. I can totally see myself there. I feel very at home. Got to eat at our all-time favorite place to get a philly cheese steak---GRINDERS. A must. Provolone AND cheese whiz. mmmm. Lots and lots of cold beer. Lot going on in that place! Great live music, too. Stayed with my cousin, Eric, and his girlfriend Christine came down from Omaha. It was so nice to get to know her better. : ) They even let me shoot them!

Against all odds--- we got B's 6 month pics taken. Wedding reception til 3 am the night before, fussy morning for baby, and it rained the whole time. Thank you to my faithful assistants, Tara and Lori! You are the best!

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure to hang out with the T family. Morgan and Grant were on their best behavior and being cute as all get out... mom and dad--- you were oozing love for your children and I cherished every minute! Easy peasy to photograph. Let's do it again, shall we? Angie--you're gorgeous. And she made Morgan's cutie pie shirt [she makes lots and lots of kids clothes by hand in fun vintage fabrics!] Yeah--- she's pretty much a superstar. Give me your website so I can post it!
