We adore our neighbor kids. They love our riding lawnmower and our dogs.

double small eye

Dear Wind, GO AWAY! Grrr. And I talked on the radio today. Talk about nerves. So stupid to be scared of a microphone. geesh.

So to explain the title of this post.... somewhat of an inside joke... Black and Stacy are great friends. They each think they have a small eye that is squinty and teeny. They are too funny. So ever since Blake booked this session as a suprise in February, I've had to keep it a secret from Stacy. sneaky! He's been in Iraq, you see. For a whole friggin YEAR! And now he's finally home to finish the basement. haha Enjoy your time together again, guys! muah!

bad day? hang out with me.

If you're one of the dozens of parents that apologize for your child's/children's behavior during our time together... this post is dedicated to you. You definately don't have to be a parent to understand that these adorable souls are perfect 100 percent of the time. Hell---not even 50 percent! haha The thing to remember is that they are learning to be full blown humans someday and crying, screaming, and flailing on the ground is the best way they know how to deal with their frustrations of someone like me, for example, following them around with a big black thing for an hour. I speak from experience--- I expect it to happen at LEAST once a session and I've learned patience is a virtue when it comes to photographing kids. It's actually pretty funny when you see a composite of highlights from my mad, tiny little subjects. Click HERE to enter site. Click proofs tab. Password: badday [make sure your sound is turned up]

a session with no tears...

A session with no tears, in my opinion, is just plain uneventful and no fun. So, thank you Jovie for making your eighteen month old session very memorable! So what do we know about you now? You have some hair sprouting [I love how crazy and wild it got after the curlers!], you are a soda addict... and you love your Grandma Sue. Thank God for Grandma Sue. I will never leave the house without soda from now on, either. I know you've all seen the soda [a LOT] recently, but hey! Whatever workS! So hopefully mommy will stop being a nervous wreck that there weren't any 'keepers' cause I love your little gorgeous blue-eyed offspring....including her tears.

charlie + ashton

LOVE these two! They are so cute and lovely together. Like birds of a feather. Charlie likes it country and Ashton has the coolest job ever. She is a buyer for the Buckle and has an endless supply of the most beautiful jewelry you've ever seen. Hope you aren't missing anymore than the earing that I found in my car. [I'm sticking it in with your disc, fyi]
And lucky them---first time in this ultra amazing new locale-- we got woods, we got rusty junk, we got COLOR. Fantastic color. The kind of color you only see in tie-dyed t shirts. I'm actually gonna nickname this location and call it 'stacy's playground.'

worth all the chasing

My knees hurt after last week. A run of wandering 18month olds. haha Landyn, here, was no exception. Every toddler wanders [away from the camera], but this little man made me chase. I felt like paparazzi and really had to use every trick in the book. Worth it, though. And there's plenty of ibuprofen in the cupboard yet.
Lindsey, you're so pretty : )
I'm in love with his big brown eyes.... [he cranked out some tantrum tears a few times, but it only made them shiny and more beautiful]
