About Me

I am a natural light, vintage-inspired photographer serving Eastern and Central Nebraska. I photograph babies, children, seniors, couples, and families. Sorry, no weddings. Each session offers a unique experience shot on location and rich in character. Here you will find my recent work, as well as all news and updates regarding my schedule. And attention you lurkers out there! yeah.... you know who you are....make yourself known once in a while! Hearing from you makes my day ;)

D-squared

Drake and Detrick are my golf partner's boys---and Marsha had a party to plan the night we had our session scheduled, so I loaded up the boys and 2 suitcases of clothes and trecked downtown. I have to admit----I get a little shiver up my spine when someone tells me "You're the artist---do whatever you want!" So these were a total and complete suprise for Mom. How fun! I had to bribe the boys with DQ after and I let them pick their song (Nickelback's ROCKSTAR), but worth it! They really do get along pretty well.... for the most part.
Deeter= born 2 model. He had "pout face" down pat.

I wanna jump through the screen and SQUEEZE this baby's cheeks! So bouncy and happy----most of the time. A little sober for our session this evening---was it the teradactyl sized-skeeters? On the virg of a cold? Who knows.... all we know is that she is happy happy happy most of the time, right, Melinda? : ) She looks so great with the pearls and my new chair. The first to sit on it as a matter of fact but not the first to "christen" it. She waited until she was standing beside the chair to fertilize the grass. Thanks for that, Maddison! Enjoy...
My complete favorite from our entire session. Makes me smile : -D

emery + molly + brynn

I am kinda-sorta getting a little caught up now...Omaha was a blast! And the Huskers won. : ) Sessions went pretty good--- a big range of parenting styles, let me tell you! I can't wait to edit my wonderful Omaha sessions!

Here are the sweet, adorable, loving little girls, Emery, Molly, and Brynn (pssst....Molly and Brynn are TWINS!) So cute in every way. Good listeners and they fell for all my bribing tricks.... ha ha ha. I am still amazed at how different their personalities are. Brynn is definately the quiet one of the group---Molly is the total social diva. Emery likes to do her own thing.

....just something about this one......

behind

Good morning all.... geez. I am so far behind, it's embarassing. Sorry sorry sorry! Please be patient--- it's a crazy popular time for pics--- I've learned a lot about myself this Summer about just how much I am capable of and how to be strategic with my scheduling. I've got to try a little harder to not over-extend myself......because look what happens. I've been a bad blogger and I can't seem to catch up from my huge weekend from a couple weekends ago. But I've doing the best I can with what I got. : ) And my lens STILL isn't back from the repair shop! Grrrrrr But here are some posts to tide you over until your proofs are ready, folks. These sessions were among my fav's.....wish I could blog on all my sessions, but then I'd REALLY never get any editing done. Have a great day. ; )

Don't you just wanna pick her up and squeeze her?! So sweet. Her mommy is the sister of a buddy of ours. That make sense? Anyway, our friend is the ultimate bachelor, but he just melts when he's around his little niece. Can't blame him! But check out her extraordinarily LONG toes! Yup. She was made for basketball. Thanks, Steph and Jonathan for going along with my crazy ideas!

this is a 5.5x4.25 folded card....I will post prices for a variety of press print products soon!

three little cuties

Cowgirls from Oconto--- they were the BEST! But their mommy is a Kindergarten teacher, so they are set. Tara---you have so much love for your girls. They just love you to pieces! I observed you with them....I'd love to capture you interacting with your girls someday. It was so funny when I had just finished snapping Ella's singles and I was adjusting this and that on my camera to switch spots....I looked over...and the three of them had already posed themselves on this log and were just sitting....waiting....smiling and being cute. No lie---I didn't even tell them what I was gonna have them do next! It was hilarious. I think they've had their picture taken more than they realize. : )

nicole

Some words to describe this girl: beautiful, sparkly, not afraid to get dirty and/or dive head first into poison ivy. See...she lives on this cool lake by Gibbon and she had always wanted her pics out there. She did a great job of scoping out all around before I arrived---even sent me pics. I really appreciate that sorta thing. Keeps it fun for me, too, so I'm not always in the same old-same old places. It's challenging with light, but it keeps me on my toes! I always learn at least one thing on every single session. Whether I'm learning about how light reacts, or how to interact with my subject...always learning. Sometimes what not to do, which are probably the best lessons. They stick in my mind the most.

But back to Nicole---I love this girl. I hope all her dreams come true. : )
