justin and tasha +2 (almost!)

We love Justin and Tasha... you will never meet a more down-to-earth couple. And they have the EXACT same anniversary as us (June 14th, 2003) And not to mention little Payton who just turned 5. He is quite the charmer....I had the pleasure of photographing these guys last Summer. Payton was a year younger, but I remember he was facinated by my car. He wanted to know about the gears and how fast it could go. And the thing that I remember most, he opened my door for me. : ) How sweet is that?! I can't wait to see how he is with his new baby brother or sister. Guess we will all find out together in August! Enjoy your sneak peak!
He just needs a little more hair swoop and he's a little James Dean.
We did a little "mini-session" of Payton since he just turned 5. They brought his little bike for him to ride in the alley. Little did he know what awaited him at the end.....
Great job, Dad... great idea with the squirt guns on such a hot night!

new logo

I need sleep! Still getting caught up from vacation... I need a vacation after this game of catch-up. We do have a wedding to go to tomorrow night in Caimbridge, which will be a lot of fun. Gotta play a little bit, right? That's why I work so hard all the time.
Oh, and I have myself a new logo....! I love stars so much that I thought to myself "my logo needs a star." : ) So there you have it.

four little boys

Oh...I love hot summer days. The kind that just make you want to dive into the river. So hot that my lens fogs up and my camera slides out of my sweaty hands. Yup...this is what I dream of alllll winter long. This day was no exception. But these little boys were up for running around outside and, well....running outside. They weren't into the whole sit-still-and-lemme-take-your-picture thing. Oh no. But I made them well aware that I had treats for them and they perked right up. : )
And you might be saying about now..."uh..Stacy....I only count 3 sets of legs. Can't you count woman?! Where's boy number 4?"
Little boy number 4 would be Colton...who isn't even walkin' yet. I would have really pushed the line with his Mama by putting him up on that stone wall! ha ha These little boys are cousins visiting their family from out of state. Maybe I should have left the bribing and spoiling up to Grandma!

here's Colton! Look at those gorgeous peepers!
Garrett was honest with me. Down and dirty. He wasn't going to smile..... but I won, I think. : )
...and middle bro, Harrison, made my job way TOO easy. All smiles.
But little Baylor. Awww. Sweet Baylor. He was just right. I had to work a little bit for a smile, but once he started...he couldn't be stopped.
love this one....

jerilyn

Okay....no day off for me...just half a day. I'm headed to golf shortly with my aunt and uncle. It's gonna be a hot one! Guy on the radio said heat index of 105. yikes.

Meet Jerilyn. So cute! Our session had great weather, good company, but lots (and lots) of mosquitos. I think if you were to touch Jerilyn's skin by the end, you would think she just got done on the slip'n slide. Slathered with OFF! Skintastic, but a smile on her pretty face. Enjoy your sneak peak!

colorado trip 2009

WOW! What a fabulous trip! Just got back about supper time tonight, and still actually had energy to trim shrubs in the burm (but we didn't have to mow because we have the BEST neighbors EVER! Thank you thank you thank you MARK!). But I am really gonna milk this vaca, cause I'm taking tomorrow off, too. he he he So my lovely sessions...you will have your proofs soon!!! Promise!

So we went to Colorado for a nice 4 day break...stayed in Frisco in a condo and 7 of us went. I am posting a lot more pics than I probably should, but we had such a darn good time...I have to share! If anything to help out the Colorado tourist bureau. I heart Colorado. I think we all decided to make it a annual trip! Can you blame us?! So much to do...so much of God's beauty. Pictures aren't enough....you must travel there!

bottom L to R: myself, Jason, Alisha, my hubby Ryan, Kevin, Tara, and Chris. It was sooooo cold! This random group of hikers took our pictures and they had all their winter gear on. They asked us if we were from California.

Tara's birfday was Thursday....so we went to Beaujo's for pizza and beer. mmmm. An old mining town...and we were starving after our Coors Brewery tour. (psst....they give you 3 FREE beers and the best part is you may go on the tour every 12 hours. : )

28 sure looks good on ya, Taraluu!

Tara really really enjoyed her birthday dessert. Really. A lot.

Friday we went white water rafting! Hands down the very best activity of our trip. Definately doin that again! We were so excited that we got to the place so early...we had about an hour to kill...... so we took some fun pics. Who's ready to raft? We are! WE ARE!

those silly wetsuits. So slimy and tight....but very necessary. They had a late snow and the water temp was only 42 degrees.

Lucky us, Frisco was having a BBQ competition all weekend. It was a really big deal.

Some of the places that competed from all over the U.S.: "Gettin' Piggy Wit it," "Rubbin' it and Lovin' it," and my fav.... "The Master Basters."

too bad it had to rain....didn't seem to stop anyone. : )

...speaking of piggies..... pass the magnesium citrate, please.
...and after lunch....the anticipated pig races!
our little #1 piggy was draggin butt.
...the guy who cheered the loudest got to be piggy for a day.
I can't look at these pics anymore..... I am about one "FOR SALE" sign away from packing my bags and moving here!!!
The guys decided to try to golf in the rain...the rest of us decided to go hiking and exploring at Copperhead. It was a chilly lift ride, but well worth it!
...our nightly entertainment....
poker faces....

Makes me miserable to think that I ate every last bit of that plate.... but it was soooo good. Spicy sausage, roasted red peppers, avocado, corn salsa omlet. Delic. And Tara's plate-sized pancake.

Bye Bye Colorado...see ya next year (and maybe sooner with some convincing.)
